Sustainability Policy: You Want Pure Air
Our Commitment at You Want Pure Air, we believe that where products come from - and how they’re made - matters just as much as what they do. That’s why we only partner with vendors who share our values for ethical, environmental, and health-conscious sourcing and fair trade.
What “Responsible Sourcing” Means to Us- We base our product sourcing on three core principles:
1. Environmental Stewardship
- We choose products made from renewable, recycled, or sustainably produced materials.
- We avoid items connected to deforestation, pollution, or practices that harm fragile ecosystems.
- We favour products made with reduced chemical use, lower water consumption, and minimal environmental footprint.
2. Ethical & Fair Labor Practices
- Our suppliers must ensure safe working conditions, fair wages, and compliance with all applicable labour laws.
- We do not work with vendors who use forced labour, child labour, or practices that violate human rights.
- Transparency in the supply chain is essential - we want to know where and how each product is made.
3. Health, Safety & Quality
- Products must be free from harmful or toxic substances that can affect people or the planet.
- Certifications or third-party verifications are required wherever possible.
- Quality is never compromised; every product meets our standards for durability and safety.
Transparency & Informed Choices
- We commit to showing as much information as possible about each product - materials used, origin, certifications, supplier practices - so you can make an informed decision before purchasing.
- Product descriptions will clearly cite certifications, standards, or independent verifications when applicable.
- Any claims regarding “organic,” “sustainable,” “ethically made,” etc., will be supported by credible documentation or evidence.
- When data is not available, we’ll be upfront about it and aim to improve data coverage over time.
Certifications & Standards We Look For (See Appendix – Sustainability & Ethical Certifications) To support our principles, we prioritise working with products that uphold recognized certifications and industry standards, including but not limited to:
- Organic certifications (e.g. GOTS, USDA Organic)
- Recycled content standards (e.g. GRS, RCS)
- Animal welfare standards (e.g. RDS, RWS, etc.)
- Forest product standards (e.g. FSC)
- Chemical safety certifications (e.g. OEKO-TEX, GreenGuard, etc.)
- Fair Trade or other ethical trade certifications
Supplier Responsibility & Accountability
We ask our suppliers for documentation about their materials, manufacturing practices, and supply chains.
We conduct due diligence when selecting suppliers - audits, certifications, and reviews are part of how we ensure they align with our values.
If a supplier fails to meet our standards, we will work with them to improve - or find alternative suppliers who do.
Continuous Improvement - We recognise this is an ongoing journey. We at You Want Pure Air commit to:
Regularly revisiting our sourcing criteria and expectations
Tracking and reporting progress on our environmental and ethical goals

Being transparent with our customers about both wins and areas where we’re striving to do better
